    Meditation is an approach to calm the mind, and to cultivate the awareness and clarity of mind. For those who are new to Chan meditation, this two-session class, based on Buddhist meditation, will cover the prerequisite conditions when preparing for meditation, and the fundamentals of sitting meditation, including proper sitting posture, relaxation, and basic methods of concentration. It will also cover daily mindfulness practice and important concepts related to meditation.
